On this page we inform you about the information we collect when you use our website and / or use our services and products. We also explain why we collect this data and how we improve the user experience. This way you understand exactly how we work.
Purpose of the personal data
The personal data that you share with us via the contact form on this website will be used to process and follow up your request. For applications, the details are recorded in a file. This data is also used to inform you, in line with your request, about developments that may be of interest to you.

- To send newsletters and mailings for which you have registered. For this you can (temporarily) unsubscribe via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
- To gain a better understanding of our customers through researching your surfing behaviour. This we do only with your permission.
No more data than necessary
The data is stored on secure servers of EuroCollege and in our CRM system PerfectView. We do not collect any more personal data from you than is absolutely necessary to be able to handle your request in an appropriate manner. We will never combine the data we receive from you with other data or data from others. The personal data that we may be able to process is:
- First and last name
- Address data
- Telephone number
- Email address
- IP address
- Location information
- Information about your activities on our website
- Other personal data that you actively provide, for example in correspondence and telephone contact
When you send e-mails or other messages to us, we may save those messages. Sometimes we ask for your personal information that is relevant to the situation in question. This makes it possible to process your questions and answer your requests. The data is stored on secure servers of EuroCollege and in our CRM system PerfectView.
Cookies and tracking pixels
This website is hosted by Transip in Amsterdam and uses "cookies" (text files placed on your computer) to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by cookies about the use of the website can be transferred to secure servers of EuroCollege .
We place necessary, statistical and marketing cookies on our website. A necessary cookie has a purely technical functionality that makes the website work properly. The statistical cookie collects anonymous data about the use of our website and thereby helps us to optimise the website. The marketing cookies keep track of your surfing behaviour.
You can set your browser to make it impossible to place cookies. This can negatively affect the functioning of these and other websites. You can delete placed cookies yourself, as they are stored on your computer. Consult the manual of your browser for this.
Cookies from externe sites
We use external sites to add functionality to the EuroCollege website. We offer the possibility to share articles on social media through share buttons from Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. We use AddThis to insert the share buttons. We regularly insert videos from YouTube.
All of these scripts record information on your computer with cookies, often to ensure that your user experience is as pleasant as possible, but often also to enrich the profile that these companies maintain about you.
Cookies from the American company Google are placed through our website as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to investigate how you use our website as a visitor, and Google provides insightful reports on this.
Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Google's behalf.
EuroCollege has no influence over this. We have allowed Google through their terms and conditions to use the information obtained for other Google services.
For sending e-mail newsletters, when we want to inform interested parties about our services and related matters, EuroCollege uses MailChimp . When registering for the newsletters, we explicitly ask for your permission. We implement the address list that we have collected in MailChimp , so that your name and e-mail address will also be known there during registration. In this case, your personal data will be shared with MailChimp .
Without your explicit permission, EuroCollege will not provide, sell and / or rent your personal data to third parties for direct marketing purposes (for example, sending advertising). EuroCollege can provide your data to third parties insofar as this is necessary for the provision of its services to you and / or insofar as this data cannot be traced back to you personally (such as automatically generated information not being your IP address). Finally, EuroCollege can provide your information to third parties if it is obliged to do so on the basis of legal provisions, if it is required to do so as a result of a lawsuit and / or if it deems this necessary to protect its own rights.
If you request information from us, we will include your contact details in our database and will keep you informed of developments that may be of interest to you. After each renewed interaction, we store the personal data for a maximum of 36 months. If you no longer wish to receive information from us, you can de-register. We will no longer send you any data from that moment. You can do this by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of our commercial statements. In the case of a personal e-mail, you can reply to the e-mail with a request to stop further sending of information. Even after you have indicated that you no longer wish to receive information from us, your data will remain in our system. If we do not do this, there is a chance that we will inadvertently approach you again in the future. Of course, you can also request us to delete all your data.
How we keep your data secure
In addition to contractual guarantees, we have taken various technical and organizational measures to ensure that your data is adequately protected against destruction, loss, damage and unauthorized use, alteration and / or access to information. In addition, we apply encryption (encryption of data) to all personal data that is sensitive or special in nature. We have taken the following measures to protect your personal data:
- Our employees' servers and devices are equipped with current security software, such as a virus scanner and firewall.
- We only send your data via secure internet connections (TLS, formerly SSL). You can see this on the address bar ' https ' and the padlock.
- All EuroCollege employees who have access to personal data are trained to handle your data with care.
How we support your rights
The privacy legislation is very clear about the rights that you as 'data subject' have, with regard to the personal data that we process about you. Here you can read what these are and how you can exercise these rights.
Withdrawal of consent: If you no longer want EuroCollege to use your data, you can withdraw your consent. You can read how to do this in the previous section "How long will your data be stored".
Inspection: If you want to know what information EuroCollege has recorded about you, you can send us a request for inspection. We will then send you all the information that we have recorded about you.
Correction: We do our best to ensure that your data remains up-to-date. However, it is possible that our data cannot fully keep up with reality. In those cases where you find that the data that we have stored about you is incorrect, you can request us to correct it.
Objection: If you have the impression that EuroCollege is using your data improperly, you can object to this use. We will immediately stop using your data and start an investigation into your complaint.
Restriction: In this case you ask us to stop the processing (popularly 'use') of your data. This is actually the same right as the right of objection, but without the complaint.
Forgetting: In exceptional cases it can happen that people want to destroy all information that is recorded about them. This is also possible. It does apply that the information is not necessary for another (legitimate) purpose.
If you want to invoke one of the aforementioned rights, we advise you to send us an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with your request. We will process your request as quickly as possible, but at the latest within a month.
If you have a complaint
Of course, we do everything to ensure that you are very satisfied with our service. However, it is possible that you have a complaint. If this complaint relates to our normal services, please contact us through the regular channels. If the complaint relates to the way in which we handle your personal data, you can contact the Data Protection Officer. He will treat your complaint confidentially. You will find his contact details at the bottom of this privacy statement. You also have the option of submitting a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. You can reach them by telephone on 0900 - 2001 201 or via the Internet at the address: www.autoriteitpersongegevensgegevens.nl .
